Just one of the things Tolkien teaches us

Just one of the things Tolkien teaches us

“For a while the hobbits continued to talk and think of the past journey and of the perils that lay ahead; but such was the virtue of the land of Rivendell that soon all fear and anxiety was lifted from their minds.  The future, good or ill, was not forgotten, but ceased to have any power over the present. Health and hope grew strong in them, and they were content with each good day as it came, taking pleasure in every meal, and in every word and song. So the days slipped away, as each morning dawned bright and fair, and each evening followed cool and clear” (307 Fellowship).

For The Academy Save CACA...my rendition of the text

This has everything to do with the Mirkwood Forest.

It’s creative!

Look what I’m trying to say is that I should follow my dreams!  Why would I follow suit and be like the rest of them?  I’ve gone to school; college, I have a degree, job, car, home, I’m married.  I have to promote myself.  I refuse to grow old with regrets!  I’m not going to be sixty and look back and tell the baby, who will think outside the box to ever give up!  So here’s to the baby; moving, a new job, a new car, before I’m already dead.  I want to act; actually I want to write.

Whether or not you care about me at all, I’ll give you a twenty so you can go see Tri sestry, or if I may make a suggestion Molotov Jukebox, or buy yourself a bean burrito, do what you will with it and attempt to nourish your creativity.  https://www.facebook.com/#!/murraymckellen

A Lord of the Rings goodnight

Goodnight Bilbo and Frodo and Aragorn, goodnight moon.

Although we did not see Gandalf on top of Weathertop we hope to see him soon.

Goodnight Shire and goodnight fire.  Goodnight black riders and shadows alike, please wait until morning to pursue us and fight.

Goodnight Mordor, which I will whisper, but not say aloud.  Goodnight Tinuviel and Rivendell.

And goodnight ring of power that seems to bend thy will.  Goodnight Sam, Merry and Peregrin.
Goodnight Goldberry and Tom Bombadil.

The Six Direwolves of Winter (2 holiday songs for Game of Thrones fans!)

The Six Direwolves of Winter

(Sung to the tune of Fre’re Jacques)

House Stark Sigil, House Stark Sigil

Direwolves, Direwolves

One for each of Ned’s children,

One for each of Ned’s children

There are six,

There are six.

(And Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer)

You know Grey Wind and Ghost

And Summer and Lady,

Shaggy Dog and Nymeria.

But do you recall which direwolf belongs to each child?

Grey Wind is Robb’s

Ghost belongs to John

Summer is Bran’s

And Lady is Sansa’s

Shaggy Dog belongs to Rickon and Nymeria is Arya’s

All of the other children

never play with direwolves

They have been known to bite.

The Direwolves of Ned Stark’s children

They’ll go down in history.
(or They all live in Westeros)?
